Job Summary:
The Process Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing production processes to ensure high efficiency, safety, and product quality. This role requires in-depth knowledge of engineering techniques and process analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
Process Development and Design:
- Develop and optimize production processes to improve efficiency and product quality.
- Plan and implement new process engineering projects and improvements to existing processes.
- Evaluate process designs using simulations and testing equipment.
Analysis and Problem-Solving:
- Analyze production data to identify trends, variations, and opportunities for improvement.
- Troubleshoot technical and operational issues related to production processes.
- Conduct root cause analysis and propose practical solutions.
Quality Control:
- Ensure production processes meet established quality and safety standards.
- Develop and implement quality control procedures and testing methodologies.
- Collaborate with the quality department to conduct process audits and continuous improvement.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Prepare comprehensive and detailed process documentation, including process flow charts, SOPs, and technical reports.
- Update engineering documentation and ensure it aligns with process changes.
- Provide progress reports on projects and presentations to management.
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure all production processes comply with safety and environmental regulations.
- Assess process safety risks and implement preventive measures.
- Report any safety incidents or hazards to management immediately.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with other engineers, technicians, and production staff to achieve production goals.
- Provide training and technical support to the production team.
- Communicate effectively with all relevant departments to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Work experience as a process engineer or in a similar role is preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of process engineering techniques, simulation tools, and analysis methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and specifications.
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Working Conditions:
- This role may involve working in a noisy, hot, or cold factory environment.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary.
