The Material Handler is responsible for the receiving, storage, organization, and movement of materials, supplies, and finished goods within the warehouse or manufacturing facility. The role ensures that materials are available in the appropriate location and in the correct quantity to meet production schedules or shipping deadlines. The Material Handler works closely with team members to ensure efficient and accurate material handling while adhering to safety and quality standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receiving and Storing Materials:Receive materials, supplies, and products from vendors or production lines. Inspect the items for accuracy, quality, and damage, then properly store them in designated areas (e.g., shelves, bins, or racks).
- Material Movement:Move materials, supplies, or finished products to appropriate areas within the facility, including assembly, production, or shipping zones
- Team Collaboration:Work closely with warehouse, production, and shipping teams to ensure the smooth flow of materials and prevent delays. Communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors to address any issues or concerns.
- Safety and Compliance:Follow all safety procedures and regulations when handling materials, operating equipment, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Report any safety hazards or accidents immediately to supervisors.
